Our Founder
J. Lalanda Harrell is the Founder and Executive Director of Arms of Grace Ministries. She brings over 25 years of Administrative and Children's Ministry experience to this ministry and holds a degree in Secretarial Science & Administration, with emphasis on Biblical Studies & Missions. For over a decade, Ms. Harrell has been actively involved in ministry within the local Church. She has served behind the scenes as well as in the public ministerial eye in such positions as: Secretary/Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Children's Ministries Pastor, and Lay Ministry Volunteer. She's also led several short-term mission trips in the US as well as in foreign countries including Israel, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Philippines.
Ms. Harrell's ministry quest began as a teenager where she was mentored and discipled by her youth ministers and senior pastor. This led to a desire to teach Children's Sunday School classes, Training Union Classes, and Children's Choir. As her teaching style developed, she began to lead Adult Bible Studies for both men and women. During the late 1980s, Ms. Harrell was given the opportunity by a Middle Georgia Prison Ministry to lead worship, teach, and disciple incarcerated individuals who desired to have a relationship with Christ. This opportunity soon provided the foundation in which to explore her curriculum writing and publishing abilities. Ms. Harrell's organizational and administrative skills have also been used to assist with the set-up of four Para-Church Mission Organizations and two Churches, all within the Eastern region of the US.
In all that she does, Ms. Harrell unselfishly gives of her time, talents, and treasures to serve and honor the LORD Jesus Christ. The greatest desire of her heart is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her generation in a clear uncompromising way using the tools and technologies available to her; she feels this can be accomplished through her as she submits her life to Christ.
