Excessive Revelry

Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

Proverbs 20:1, NIV

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them! They have lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts,
but they do not regard the deeds of the LORD, or see the work of His hands.

Isaiah 5:11-12

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for anyone to make another stumble by what he eats. It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

Romans 14:1, 13, 20-21
